Flexible air duct is a significant invention for many sectors, primarily for the HVAC industry.
Flexible air duct was first invented in 1968 by Malcolm Hay Jr. and was patented by the United States
Patent Office.
Its entry into the Turkish market was with the initiation of a Dutch firm DEC. Soon after its entry,
aluminium and stainless-steel flexible air ducts were used in heaters and kitchen aspirators. Over the
years, local manufacturing of flexible air ducts began. Nowadays, many Turkish manufacturers
produce low-service PVC and aluminium flexible air ducts, mainly for the use of secondary ducts for
comfort air conditioning.
Ünveren Air Systems Inc. has mastered in the production flexible air ducts for variety of usage areas.
Manufactured with PVC coated fabrics on high strength polyester, our flexible air ducts are diverse
to meet different needs. Ünveren Air Systems joint stock company manufactures under the
registered UAS® main brand.
Semi-flexible ducts are offered to the market under the FUGA sub-brand.
Fabric flexible air ducts are offered to the market under the SOLO sub-brand.
SOLO GREYDUCT Flexible Air Duct model is produced with flame-retardant thin woven fabric and
wide pitch steel spiral. It is very lightweight and highly flexible.
SOLO GREENDUCT Flexible Air Duct model is produced with thick flame-retardant fabric and
steel spiral with a tight pitch. It has high resistance to flame and tear. The inner colour is black,
and the outer colour is green.
SOLO BLACKDUCT Flexible Air Duct model is produced with a flame-retardant high denier thick
woven and 1700 N/mm2 steel spiral with high tensile strength. It is made of polyester fabric with
black PVC coating inside and outside.
SOLO REDDUCT Flexible Air Duct model is produced with thick flame-retardant PVC coated
polyester woven fabric and 1700 N/mm2 steel spiral with high tensile strength. It can be produced
in red or yellow, depending on the order quantity. It is produced to be mainly used in aviation
and mining industries, the transfer of hot and cold air and other areas that require high mobility.
In addition, it can be used safely in long-term applications such as tunnel and drainage ventilation
and many other works. With its zippered structure, it allows combining. Its structure allows the
duct to be stored after use by disassembling. Upon request, it can be produced with a second
layer of fabric on the wire. In the global market, the SOLO REDDUCT model is also known in
different names such as; tunnel ventilation hose, sewer ventilation hose, tunnel hose, sewer
hose, fab tube, miner hose, aviation hose, aircraft ventilation hose, accordion hose, canvas hose.
